Blasted Stairs

These are the stairs in the HFAC of BYU. We had to draw these stairs over a series of days because it took too long for one sitting. I am convinced that these stairs move!

Tie Vest Company

This was was a real fun project that I had to create a logo for an imaginary business that sold two items. I made up a business that sold both ties and vests.

Stitch and Lovers

I thought that this was a very fun final project. I basically took two objects and then rendered them as best I could so that I could then abstract them. I think I might have been able to abstract it a little more but I rendered the objects real well in my opinion.

Nature Art

These are all one inch by one inch squares of leaves. We had to create a value scale from green to red in this composition. It took forever to cut out every single leaf.

Two Good Friends

A nice composition of me and a friend of mine. We had to take a picture of us in dramatic lighting and then we had to replicate it in the medium. of our choice. We had to duplicate it in about 5 values. I thought this was a very fun project

Detached Hand

This is a hand that we had to draw in my drawing class. We had to try and make it as exact as possible to the picture that our teacher had given us. I think that I got pretty close.

My Try at the Renaissance

This was a project that I did in my art class. We had to take coloraid and then cut and paste that paper into the shapes that were needed to recreate a portion of an old work of art from the master artists.

Abstract Oriental

This was a project that I did for one of my classes. This is done on a 22 X 30 inch piece of paper. It took forever to fill this thing up. But here it is in all it's glory. I used oriental characters as an influence for this artwork. I thought it turned out alright.

My Little Dumbo

This is a progression piece of art. All these where done in 5 inch squares. It progresses from a very literal interpretation to a very abstract concept. These pictures zoom in on the ear of the elephant and then abstract it.

Hurt

This was just a post that I thought up for all those people that do get hurt. I really like the way that this turned out and the way that the shadows ended up turning out. Don't worry about getting hurt. Things do eventually work out and things always work out for the best.

Chess Game

I haven't really messed with much stuff in 3D but I figured that I would give it a try and see what I could do. This is just an image that I created in 3D Studio Max. It was actually a lot of fun to create.

My Friend Jenny

Here are just a couple different emotions that I drew on a made up character. I had a lot of fun with her hair and the way that she looks. Sorry about the paper it was done on the back of a printer test sheet. At least, I know now that printed stuff on the back will show up in the scan.

A Lovely Rose

This lovely rose was just something fun that I drew. I really like the way that the shading and line weight came out. "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet."

Aliens are Attecking the Farm

This was the final project in my class. It was a lot of fun. We used all the techniques we learned to develop a scene of a farmer and his animal sidekick fighting off the aliens that want to invade Earth. "Boy, git yer ma n' head fer the cellar."

Viking Cat (Puss in Boots)

Okay this is the manly version of the previous Puss in Boots. Imagine for a second that Puss in Boots did not live in the Renaissance era but instead was thought up by the vikings. You know what I'm talking about.

Puss in Boots Toy

This is a nice sketch for the character Puss in Boots. In theory this should be a design for a vinyl toy. It looks fun to me.

Me and My Imaginary Friend

This little imaginary scene is just an example of a little kids creativity. I but you didn't know that the World War II was won with the efforts of a ten year old and a dwarf.

Perspective

Here are a couple drawings done in perspective.
This is one point perspective. It was the Sun with its heat in the middle of the day...

This is done in two point perspective. This lovely lady is looking over her village in the enchanted forest of Central Park.

This space battle is done in three point perspective. Captain Nemo I thought we got rid of this monster long ago.

Simplicity

With this little guy I used as much simplicity as I could to accurately portray what this reptile is. Can you guess what it is?

Murder Mystery at the Zoo

This drawing was for a class at BYU to get us started. The theme was Murder Mystery at the Zoo. I had a lot of fun with the characters. This is all done with a pencil.
